Why wouldn't it come off... by scatterherz Why wouldn't it come off... by scatterherz
Okay this isn't very surreal, but I don't want to submit my precious Joe to that dreadful "portraits" section.

It's amazing to think that here is this work of your's and unless you know it's Joseph (the Elephant man) it does indeed appear surreal proving that most people's view of reality is in fact wrong...i could make an excelent thesis on this.. Thanks your work is not only wonderfuly done, it's inspiring!

I think the eyes are perhaps a little too bright, otherwise this is good work!

Personally, i think it is very surreal. The eyes are so piercing and the whole piece is haunting....As usual, a very interesting picture!

Well, he is quite realistic, the only surreal things are those swirls of white and yellow around. I guess the're bits of symbolism here, I can't think of it now, I just know that I tried to draw a growing despair and pain.

This really touched me!! As someone living with a painful physical disease, I fully understand: "the despair that is inevitable when there's no relief". Everything about this speaks to that. His posture, his expression, and especially his eyes. The right hand reaching out for succor, while the other clutches his chest, is such a profound and a wonderful gesture!! Great job on this dear :+favlove: --AG

It actually gives me headache when I look at it for long. I suppose a lot of myself I did put into this drawing. It was fairly quick and with no corrections, I just sat and made it. I'm the antenna of my subconcious self.

Not if a deviation, but it could make a good scrap, but, well, since I have it elsewhere... thank you,

Wahya! He looks to be in so much of a dull pain. Arg. The colour use is amazing. I rather enjoy the look of this. The way his eyes are gives me chills.

I guess he was in a lot of pain. Always. So my intention was to show the despair that is inevitable when there's no relief.
