This has an animal/cannibal feel, parasites feeding/draining ... the darker side of human interaction ... glad you feel like allowing comments ... they don't really matter that much do they???
Um I think your art has a lot more impact than that hehehe, I get pissed when my drawings are likened to Dali ...
I like your idea of inner demons and that really fits ... it seems equally open to be read both ways which is no bad thing at all!
Oh Dali.. yes, I got some of those comments too.. Dammit, as if Dali was the only surreal artist ever!
I like it when people interpret my art in their own way, makes me feel it was worth it, if people can find their own meaning behind things that I draw.
I agree! I also find that in the process of creating a drawing, I may have many things in my subconscious that contribute to the drawing that I don't consciously see until someone else points it out ... funny that ... a feeling that I am not what I think perhaps?
Ahhh! I remember this series I like both interpretations (struggling against demons within, and those who feed on you from without), but what I really like is your line work. I've missed it!! --AG

The allowence of commenting. Ah how I've missed it.
Anyways; fighting with your inner demons? Hmmm... I like how the middle one looks so enraged and passionate; while the ones holding him back look so stoic in comparrison.

Fantastic! The calm, persistent expression of the "leeches" is very unsettling in comparison the trauma and desperation on the face of the swamped figure. The technical aspect is pretty stunning and I really admire your technique with the shading here - especially on the pointed elbow on the right hand side near the top, where you've blocked off the shadowed area.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
